Deirdre's Tri Stuff and More

Check out my triathlon experiences and other notes. 2006 ~ the year I became an Ironman!

Let's get this started!

OK, finally I've got a blog to jot my rantings and other stuff. I'll post some history along the way, but the real reason I got this going is our impending trip to Kona to watch The Big Show.

Bill and I leave on Tuesday to hit the Big Island and meet up with our friends, Chuck and Naira, for the Hawaii Ironman. Chuck is racing and the rest of us are cheering and enjoying the experience.

Although I can't wait, I've got a whole bunch of stuff to finish up here since the boys will be home. This is our first time away from the kids (whoa! think of the opportunities . . . but I digress) so I have what amounts to a million little things to wrap up before we go.

Stay tuned!

Welcome to blogland!

I am so excited to hear what the Hawaii experience is like. Someday I'll make it out there to watch!

I look forward to reading your posts! Being at triathlon's big dance is a great experience. My wife and I enjoyed it a great deal back in 2003. There is nothing like it in the world. I would love to hear your thoughts about the finish line once you return... Something that I will never forget!
Enjoy your trip!

I look forward to reading your reports. You passed me at Fairport this year. I remember thinking "does she have any snickers with her?".
My friend Sean Payton used to race on the Island every year, but no longer. He just runs little marathons really quickly now.
Have fun.
