CHEAT!!

Yes, I succumbed to temptation on Sunday and picked through leftover party items that definitely aren't on my menu. Oh, things like Hot Pepper Trio kettle cooked chips, chocolate cake, fruit salsa and cinnamon chips. . . . this weekend's party, I buy the food. None of this stuff where people show up with things I can't have and leave them here post-party!

I ended up 1 1/2 lbs. up on Monday -- hopefully mostly water weight. We'll see how I am by Friday. I need to check and see if I will have any days to "cheat" and have some summer fruit, a glass of wine or beer, anything that I know I can't have until OCTOBER!!

My lifting is going ok, but I am drained of energy.

On a funny note, I watched for first disk of the posing DVD and it is awful!! The cheesy guy is so unbelievably 70s porn style, I keep expecting him to peel off his shirt and start funky music in the background. And he always repeats himself!! Michelle and I decided after the competition, we're going to watch it together and do a shot or a drink every time he says one of his stupid phrases (I've mentally blocked it from my mind and have to watch disk two to get the damn phrase again)!!

A weekend away from microwaves . . .

OK, this weekend will be the first weekend without access to a microwave for my meals. Sigh, I nuked things tonight and put them back in the fridge to chill. Hopefully, this all works out ok . . . .

Nutrition Update

I got my nutrition plan last Sunday and have followed it diligently for 8 days now. There are 3 days of 5 meals and I rotate through the days. I'm eating every 3 hours (or so) and am full, but I miss being able to just pop something in my mouth when I want it.

I also miss my daily coffee!!! But I negotiated green tea every morning since I was only supposed to have black coffee up to 3 days a week. Saturday and Sunday I had my coffee (without sweet-n-low which I love like a lab rat!) and it was AWESOME!!!

Today was the "fun" day with bananas, rice cakes and peanut butter as part of the menu. Tomorrow I get strawberries, 1/2 orange and some granola (which has whole almonds -- mmmm!) so it is a pretty fun day. Wednesday will be back to the "serious" day.

Of course, there are tons of chicken, turkey, salmon, eggs, tuna (starting to hate it!), and beef. Lots of asparagus, spinach, broccoli, and grilled peppers. I miss the dairy dearly, but I can see results already, so it is working!

I've been in my shoes for an hour (not standing the whole time) and am ready to return to earth! Today was a rest day, so I'm looking forward to hitting the weights tomorrow. My weekly workouts with John Henry have been awesome!

Shoes!!

THE shoes are in and I can walk (for a short period of time anyway). Here we are -- another Saturday night at the Callahan/McIntosh residence -- ha ha! No really, the boys are getting scared every time they see me in a bathing suit. Oh, it could be worse, I'm sure.

WOW!!!

This week wasn't the best for training. Four nights of soccer tryouts and Friday morning Junior Achievement class. Two parties the last two days to boot. I have my Sunday workout, so hopefully that will get me back on track this week!! Less than four months to competition.
